A short film is defined as a film running under 30 minutes.

Films may be submitted in any language; English subtitles are required for all works not in English or Italian.

There is no limit to the number of works a filmmaker may submit, and each work may be entered in more than one category.

By submitting, you authorise the Buffalo Roots Film Festival to screen the entire film, or parts of it, during the festival.

Events with screenings may include a limited number of winners, in part or in full. Not all submissions and winners will be selected.

Films not selected for the annual and semi-annual events may request that links to their works or pages be published on our website.

We may publish your film posters, trailers, features, links and details on our website. If you would like us to publish your projects, please send us an email.

We may use and display your posters and information on our website. If you do not want them published, please let us know. If instead you would like us to publish links to your projects, send us an email with the details and we will do so.

The applicant agrees not to hold the Buffalo Roots Film Festival responsible for any damage, loss or liability arising from their submission. Should you decide to withdraw your submission and have the information about your work removed, we will do so. However, submission fees are non-refundable.

The event is sponsored and organised by WREP Media Company, Berlin, Germany.
